Dear Parents and Carers,

Café in the Playground

Before the cold and dark of winter sets in, we’d love to have one more Café in the Playground this coming Monday 14th September.

This one is for THE WHOLE SCHOOL, from The Meadow through to Year 6, and will run at our usual time of 3.15pm–4.30pm.

As we have our cake sale this week, we won’t be asking families to donate any food this time. We’ll simply provide some biscuits from school for everyone to enjoy.

As always, these events are a lovely opportunity to bring our children, parents and school community together, and we hope to see lots of you there!

Meet the Professionals

Ever wondered what an Educational Psychologist does? Ever worried when you’re asked to sign a consent form? Or perhaps you’ve simply got an interest in language development and want to know more? 

Come along to our ‘Meet the Professionals’ session on Wednesday 4th November at 2pm – all parents are very welcome! 

This is a lovely, informal opportunity to meet our specialist teachers, Educational Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist, find out what they do, how they support our children and how they can help your child. There’ll be plenty of time for a chat, questions, a coffee and, of course, some cake!

Allergies and Inhalers

A quick reminder to please make sure that school staff are kept up to date about any allergies or medical needs your child has. It is really important that we know about any allergies so that we can keep your child safe and make sure the right information is available to the staff supporting them. If your child has asthma or needs an inhaler, please can we also ask that they have a named, in-date inhaler kept in school. If you’re unsure whether we have the correct medication or information for your child, please speak to the school office and we’ll be happy to help.

Attendance

Every school day really does count! Regular attendance is important for helping children keep up with their learning, routines and friendships, so please do everything you can to ensure your child is in school every day they are well enough to attend. If your child is absent, please remember to let us know through Studybugs as soon as possible, including the reason for their absence. This helps us keep our records up to date and, most importantly, helps us know that all of our children are safe and accounted for.

• Monday 14^th September: Café in the playground – 3:15-4:30pm
• Thursday 17^th September: Year 3 Trip to Hampton Court – need to be at school for 8am, return at 6pm)
