12.06.26 Dear Parents and Carers,
Well Done Year 4This week, our Year 4 children took part in the national Multiplication Tables Check and we are incredibly proud of them all. The children approached the check with confidence, maturity and determination, demonstrating the hard work they have put into learning their times tables throughout the year. They showed fantastic resilience and gave every question their best effort. Regardless of the scores they receive, we are proud of the positive attitudes they brought to the experience and the progress they have made. Well done, Year 4, we are very proud of you! Year 1 Phonics Screening CheckThis week, our Year 1 children completed their Phonics Screening Check and they have been absolute superstars. The children approached the check with enthusiasm and confidence, showing off the fantastic phonics knowledge they have developed throughout the year. We know how much effort they have put into their reading and it has been wonderful to see how far they have come. A huge thank you also goes to our staff and families for the support and encouragement they continue to provide. We are incredibly proud of all of our Year 1 children and their growing love of reading. Lights, Camera, Action!Preparations for our Year 6 end of year production are well underway and excitement is certainly building. From the snippets we have heard in the corridors, their singing and acting already sound incredible. The children have embraced rehearsals with enthusiasm, energy and commitment, and it is clear that they are working hard to put on a performance to remember. We cannot wait to see all of their hard work come together and look forward to welcoming families to enjoy the show in just a few weeks' time. Brilliant BrushersThis week, our Early Years children began taking part in the supervised toothbrushing programme, Brilliant Brushers. The programme supports children in developing positive oral hygiene habits from an early age and helps them to understand the importance of looking after their teeth. It has been lovely to see the children embracing this new routine with such enthusiasm and independence. It has also become a calm and sociable part of the day, providing an opportunity for children to sit together, chat with their friends and enjoy a shared routine whilst promoting healthy habits with our youngest learners. Makaton Sign of the WeekThis week, we have been revising all of the Makaton signs we have learnt so far. Please spend some time at home quizzing your children to see how many signs they can remember. Can they tell you what each sign means? Can they use them within a full sentence? We have been incredibly impressed by how enthusiastically the children have embraced learning Makaton this year and would love for them to show off their skills at home. Year Group AttendanceCongratulations again Year 3!
