Dear Parents and Carers,
Parent Patch We’re excited to introduce our new Parent Patch, run by our wonderful Parent Community Champions. This will be a relaxed weekly drop‑in every Tuesday from 3pm to 4pm in the Dining Hall, starting Tuesday 29th September. Whether you need help logging into Boomreader, support with uniform, advice about after‑school clubs, or simply want to have a chat, the Parent Patch is here for you. You’re welcome to pop in before or after picking up your child/ren, and children can come along if needed. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided — we’d love to see you there.
Attendance🌟 EVERY DAY COUNTS! 🌟It’s easy to think that missing just one or two days of school won’t make much difference — but it can have a bigger impact on attendance than you might realise. At this point in the school year: 1 day missed = 90% attendance 📚 Why does attendance matter?
Missing school, particularly at the start of the academic year, can affect your child’s: 📖 Learning and progress Every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow, connect and succeed.

Year 3 Trip to Hampton CourtYear 3 had a fantastic time on their trip to Hampton Court Palace, exploring history in the most hands‑on way. They began their adventure in the Magic Garden, climbing, discovering, and letting their imaginations run wild. The children then wandered through the beautiful palace grounds, where they were thrilled to spot deer with antlers grazing nearby. Inside the palace, they walked through Henry VIII’s kitchens and bedrooms, gaining a real sense of what life was like in Tudor times. To finish the day, the class examined a range of fascinating artefacts, sparking brilliant questions and plenty of excitement. It was a memorable trip full of learning, curiosity and awe. As we come to the end of another busy and exciting week at Stoke, we want to thank all our families for their continued support and involvement in school life. From classroom learning to trips, events and new initiatives, it’s been wonderful to see our community so engaged. We hope you all enjoy a restful weekend, and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday, ready for another great week ahead.
