Reception had a very rainy, but very enjoyable trip to Ryton Pools on Monday. They took part in a mini beast hunt, a nature walk, a picnic, before they had chance to play in the huge outdoor park. For some of your children, it was the furthest they ever walked.
Cross Country
Some of the boys took part in a cross-country competition against other Coventry schools – over 200 children. They did us proud and tried their best and we’re very proud of them.
Community Champions
Our amazing Community Champions created such a wonderful atmosphere this week as they hosted a fantastic Café on the Playground for our Early Years and Key Stage 1 children and their families. It was lovely to see so many families spending quality time together, enjoying the activities, sharing smiles and making special memories as a community. To make the day even more perfect, the sun shone for us too, adding to the warm and happy atmosphere. A huge thank you to our Community Champions for all of their hard work in making the event such a success!
Sun Safety
As we continue to enjoy the warmer weather, please help us to keep all children safe in the sun. We encourage children to bring a named water bottle to school each day and, where possible, wear a sun hat when outside. Please apply sunscreen before school in the morning, as staff are unable to apply this during the school day. We will ensure that children have access to shaded areas and plenty of opportunities to drink water throughout the day. By working together, we can help everyone enjoy the sunshine safely while staying happy, healthy and protected.
Makaton Sign of the Week
