Dear Parents and Carers, Parent Patch – First Aid at HomeOur Parent Community Group hosted a ‘First Aid at Home’ course on Tuesday for parents wanting to be well equipped in first aid for their children. A Professional First Aider (Dragon’s Den Winner) came to school and taught various topics such as CPR, how to deal with choking and treating burns. Seventeen parents attended and took part in the interactive training; feedback was very positive and parents said they felt much better equipped and more confident. This course was delivered because parents asked us for training in this area. If there are other topics you feel would be useful to a wider group of parents, we are happy to look into this and provide training where we can. Please email the school office and ask for your ideas to be passed on to Mrs Stoker. Meet the ProfessionalsWe warmly encourage all parents and carers to join us for our Meet the Professionals event on Wednesday 4th November at 2pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet a range of professionals, find out more about the support and services available through school, and discover how we can work together to support you, your family and your children. Whether you have a specific question, would like advice or simply want to find out what is available, everyone is welcome. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible! Poppy-Lou – Dancing Queen!A huge well done to Poppy, who has won an incredible four medals over the past two weeks for her dancing! Poppy has been recognised for her achievements in acro, ballet, tap and modern dance. What an amazing accomplishment and a fantastic reflection of her talent, hard work and dedication. We are so proud of you, Poppy – keep shining, our very own dancing queen!
Tag RugbyChildren from Years 5 and 6 recently attended a Tag Rugby competition at Broadstreet Rugby Club, taking part in a fantastic festival alongside 20 other schools. We are incredibly proud of the children’s perseverance, resilience and determination throughout the event. They represented Stoke brilliantly, showing great sportsmanship and a positive attitude. Well done, everyone! AttendanceHUGE congratulations to Year 4!
Coming Up After Half Term…
As we reach the end of what has been a long and, at times, very difficult half term, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our parents and carers for your continued support, kindness and understanding. The strength of our Stoke community means so much, and we are incredibly grateful to have you alongside us. We hope you all enjoy a restful half-term break, spending precious time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 2nd November. Take care and enjoy the week!
